You're being asked for payment to view material, e.g. a journal article

You would only be asked for payment to view online content if the hosting website doesn't recognize you as coming from QMU. To access the material you need to either be logged into the University network onsite or using the Remote Access service, or login to the hosting site using Shibboleth. Information on both these routes is available here

The shibboleth login screen doesn't appear to be working

It is not possible to bookmark the shibboleth login screen and then try to go to a resource. Instead you have to go the the resource website and then select  the "shibboleth login" option . This is also sometimes called the "institutional login". You will then either be presented with a drop down list of institutions and should select Queen Margaret University, or the login screen will have a box to type in your institution's name. You are then able to enter your institutional login details.
