Resource Lists: Guide for Staff: Step 3. Before you start

This guides aims to support academic staff with managing their Talis Resource Lists.

Before you start

On the Home page of Talis Resource Lists, you can search for your list by inputting your module code or module title using the search box or you can Browse Hierarchy (under the search box). Alternatively, you can go to My lists.

Make sure you always have the list open in one browser window (Window 1) while you open a new window (Window 2) to search for the resource you wish to add to this.

Making your lists visible

To avoid repetition throughout the guide, remember that you need to click Publish if you want to make changes to your Talis lists visible. If you have forgotten to Publish, Talis will automatically save a draft of that list. In that case, when you search for your list at another time, you will see two entries: both the previously published list (if there was one already published) and the draft that was automatically saved by the system. You can come back to work on your draft at another time until you are ready to publish it.

To see the changes you have made to your list, click the Refresh page button on your browser.
