Resource Lists: Guide for Staff: Step 1. Register

This guides aims to support academic staff with managing their Talis Resource Lists.

Register with Talis

  1. Follow the Talis Resource List link https://qmu.rl.talis.com/ .  Use your Shibboleth username and password to log in.  Create a profile by clicking on the profile picture/link. Make your profile Public. (This is how your librarian will be able to assign you as the owner of lists)
  2. Email your liaison librarian all the modules codes/names for the modules you co-ordinate and they will assign you as a Talis Resource List (TARL) owner. You should receive a number of emails (corresponding to the number of lists you will own) letting you know that you have become a list owner. By being assigned a list's owner, you are granted exactly the same editing/publishing rights as other publishers for the list - you have the ability to edit the list, publish changes, request a review of the list as well as being able to invite other colleagues to become publishers for the list.
    The only difference is that you are the person named on the list itself.
