Resource Lists: Guide for Staff: Step 6. Embedding full lists and sections in Canvas

This guides aims to support academic staff with managing their Talis Resource Lists.

Embedding Talis Lists and Sections into Canvas

You can embed either a whole Talis list to your Canvas course or divide your Talis list into different sections (by week, theme, etc.) and only embed the relevant section for each module within a Canvas course.
Watch the video below to learn how to do this.

Embedding a Talis List into the Table of Contents

  • From the Dashboard, click on the appropriate course
  • In the course’s Table of Contents, click Resource List

  • Click on the ‘Embed reading list from Talis Aspire’ button
  • Either select a list from the ‘Suggested lists’ section or use the search box to find the correct list

  • Once the correct list has been found, click on the ‘Embed list’  option
  • The whole list will then be bookmarked to the ‘Resource list’ section of the Canvas course
