To avoid having to keep logging in to different database, ebook and journal websites while you’re off campus, you can log in using Remote Access, which makes websites think you’re logging in from on campus, and therefore know you have a university login to access the resources.
To find out how to do this, go to Remote Access on the QMU IT Services webpages, where you can download the desktop app or use remote access via your internet browser. You will need to read the Remote Access Guide to set it up. Method 2: VMware Horizon Client, is recommended rather than the browser method, because it offers better performance.
Every subject taught at Queen Margaret University has a dedicated Liaison Librarian who has created a Subject Guide. You can find the list of guides on the QMU Library Guides or listed below. Each guide highlights books, journals, databases and websites that you will find useful during your studies.
Your tutors may use Talis Resource Lists to recommend reading for your modules.
To view these, check the HUB space for your module and look for a Resource List link on the left hand menu.
Or, search for the module code or title on the QMU Talis Resource Lists home page or using the search box below.
