Collaborations - Drama, Theatre and Performing Arts: Other services

If you can't find what you need from our collection of books, journals and databases online, there are other ways you can access resources that we have or can get hold of for you.

Photocopying

The Library offers a photocopy service for Distance Learning students covering print material which is held by the Library. For more information about accessing materials not held at QMU please see the sections Using other Libraries and Interlibrary Loan Service for Distance Learners.

We can provide you with one article from a print journal issue or one chapter of a print book provided that neither constitutes more than 5% of the whole item. We can also direct you to our online resources for electronic versions of material.

Each photocopy, journal article or book chapter, costs £3.00. This is to cover admin, photocopying and postal charges.

To apply:

  1. Print out, and fill in, and sign the Photocopy Request form.
  2. Note that you need to fill out a form for each photocopy request.
  3. Scan and email the form to us at Helpdesk@qmu.ac.uk. Please also include your address details in the email.
  4. The £3.00 charge per request will be added to your student account.
  5. Any charges against your account must be settled with the institution before your graduation

Your photocopies will then be posted out to you.

Interlibrary Loans

If you are unable to locate a journal article and/or book chapters in your area, then the LRC can supply photocopies of journal articles and book chapters not held in our collection via our Interlibrary Loan (ILL) Service.

The LRC will fund up to 5 ILL requests for each taught postgraduate student.  Any additional ILL requests must be self-financed.  Please see ILL charges and payments for more information.

The LRC cannot supply distance learners with print loan items, i.e. books or journal issues, obtained via Interlibrary Loan as the risk of the items getting lost in the post could incur large replacement costs to the LRC and the student.

Interlibrary Loan requests must be submitted using the online request form for the type of document that you would like to get. Please see the Interlibrary Loans page for a guide to submitting ILL requests online and the links to the relevant online forms.

Please note that each request must be made on a separate form.

Journal articles and book chapters may be delivered to you by post or electronically to your QMU email, depending on how the item is supplied. Please check you QMU email inbox regularly for any updates or information about your ILL requests.
