Resource Lists: Guide for Students: Personalising Your Lists

How to get the most out of Resource Lists

Bookmarks

You can personalise your lists using these tools:

Bookmarks

If you click the three dots icon to the right of each resource, you can bookmark items on the list by clicking 'Add to My Bookmarks'. You can then access your bookmarks by clicking on 'My Bookmarks' on the top bar of the Resource Lists website (when you are logged in).

Filters

You can use the type tool to display different types of resources, such as articles, books, chapters or webpages. You can use the filter tool to display print or online resources, or select to view only essential, recommended or background resources. You can also use it to view resources based on how you've labelled them in terms of your reading intentions (for example, that you will read or are undecided about).

Reading Intentions

When you click the circular button to the right of the entry, you can select a status for the resource - undecided, will read, reading now, have read or won't read. You can then use filters (see below) to view the resources you intend to read, or see how much progress you've made, for example.

Personal Notes

If you click the three dots icon to the right of each resource, you can add personal notes. These are private and only visible to you.

Exporting Lists

Each list can be exported in a variety of different formats. Click 'View & Export' at the top of the list and select which format you want to download.

RIS lets you export the list in a format that is compatible with most reference manager tools such as EndNote (you can also do this for individual list items by clicking the three dots icon to the right of each item).

CSV is a format that is compatible with Excel
