Choosing a journal to submit a research paper to can be daunting. Talking to colleagues about journals that they have published with is a good starting point as is considering the journals that you have previously read and cited from, especially any journals that you have cited in the paper that you are submitting.
It might also be useful to conduct a document search in Scopus or Web of Science using keywords and phrases from the paper that you are looking to submit. The results from this search could give you an indication of the journals that publish in your research areas.
