A guide to help with the evaluation of health research

Welcome

Welcome to your subject guide to the library resources in the field of Dietetics.  If you're not sure where to start, let these pages be your inspiration. This guide can also help you with conducting a literature review and completing other university assignments.

►On this page, you can email and schedule an appointment with your Liaison Librarian, and access useful recordings and help guides as well as your Talis Reading List.

► Go to the Books tab to search the library catalogue and Discover.

►Go to the Journals tab to search for print and e-journals.

► Go to the databases tab for information on multidisciplinary and subject specific databases.

► Go to the referencing tab if you're not sure how to reference a source.

As the Liaison Librarian for Dietetics, I am invited onto your timetable to teach you how to navigate and use the print and online resources you have access to as a student at Queen Margaret University.

Please contact me if you have any queries.

Using and accessing the LRC's online resources

To access the Library's online resources we recommend that you use the University's "Remote Access" service.

Information on how to log into the QMU network from off campus is available from the Remote Access page on the QMU website. Logging into the network in this way will give you seamless access to resources and your files as if you were using a terminal on campus.

Please use Method 2 in How to Connect Remotely to download an install the remote desktop.
