The Effective Learning Service has put together a series of videos to help you develop key academic skills:
Part 1 covers how to create a search strategy, and how to use Boolean operators, truncation and phrase searching.
Part 2 covers how to use the search strategy created in part 1 in a databases. Keyword searching and MeSH searching as well as saving articles and searches are all explained.
The library is running a series of workshops, scheduled throughout the year, on topics to help you with finding, accessing and using resources and tools for your work.
