When you register with the National Library of Scotland you have free access to an extensive range of eResources. If your main address is in Scotland you can also use many of these resources from any computer outwith the National Library. You can also use a number of open access resources without registering.
What's available
These resources consist of:
- Hundreds of thousands of digitised books, periodicals and manuscripts spanning over five centuries
- Millions of records and abstracts via online services and databases
- Thousands of full-text newspapers, journals and reports
- Hundreds of full-text reference works.
Subjects covered include business, science, government, art, literature, history, biography, Americana, and music.
Finding a collection
You can browse and search across the entire range of licensed digital resources to find a collection:
- Browse collections by title, subject or access type
- Search for a collection by keyword (searches collection title, subject, publisher, description).
