eduroam enables users from participating institutions to use their usual network login credentials to access the eduroam network while visiting other participating institutions.

Institutions in the UK which are part of eduroam can found on the Janet website. Janet has also developed companion apps for iOS and Android to help locate nearby participating institutions.

eduroam is a federation of many institutions worldwide. A full list of participating institutions, including maps, can be found at the eduroam website.

Users of Windows Vista, 7, 8, 8.1, and 10; Apple iOS; Mac OS X Lion (10.7), Mountain Lion (10.8), Mavericks (10.9), and Yosemite (10.10); and Linux can use the eduroam Configuration Assistant Tool (CAT). If you have tested the connection at your home institution then it should work at QMU. If you have any connection issues please contact your home institution in the first instance.

Usage of the QMU network is governed by our IT regulations. Usage of the Janet Network is governed by the JANET Acceptable Use Policy.

All support issues for eduroam should be directed to the user's home institution.
